If you are going to paste a page into
an existing character set, then you can use the command Move file (page) for
this purpose. This command enables you to move one or more pages and therefore
create or close a gap in the numbers. This operation is always
used on the character set (or in CPP mode, on the part-project) which belongs to the drawing window
currently open. You must enter a total of 3 page numbers during
the moving process. The range is determined by the last number
which you have entered. This last number may also be larger than the last
existing page number.
Hint
If a file is being overwritten, a prompt will appear beforehand.
Example
Move file (page) :[Create gap]
Your set of drawings includes the page numbers (=number extension) from *.0001 to *.0020 and *.0040 to *.0060. You want to create a gap for a new page *.0004. The previous page *.0004 should then receive the page number *.0005. The numbers from 40 onwards should not be changed.

Use the New file or Copy file command in order to create a new Page *.004.
Move file (page): [close gap]
Your set of drawings has the page numbers (=number extension) from *.0001 to *.0020 and *.0040 to *.0060. You want to close a gap (assuming that Page number *.0004 is missing). The previous Page *.0005 should then receive the page number *.0004. The numbers from 40 onwards should not be changed.

Use the New file or Copy file command in order to create a new Page *.0020.
Hint
If the active working window does not belong to the project, when using the Move file (page) function, a message will appear to that effect. This prevents you from accidentally accessing a project which you have only opened temporarily. Numbering and cross-references are not automatically adjusted during this operation. Then use the appropriate automatic functions.
