Using the symbols

Dear WSCAD user,

When you see this information, then you are trying to load a library or a symbol that is subject to copyright. Copyrighted libraries and symbols are indicated with the symbol  .

This note appears only when you are trying to use these symbols without a valid maintenance contract.

Copyright

Libraries or symbols subject to copyright are available to all users with a valid maintenance contract. Should your maintenance contract have expired, you no longer have access to the symbols or libraries with rights of use.

Reservation

Those copyrighted symbols that you have already used remain functional in the circuit charts (also copying on an identical sheet). Libraries with update protection, which you have loaded from the downloads area or as a WSCAD-package, remain on your computer but can no longer be used. The data in the parts database remain valid in any case. Drawing macros containing symbols subject to rights of use can be used as before, but copyrighted symbols will be hidden.

Note

When you prolong your expired maintenance contract, the symbols or libraries subject to rights of use will be activated again.

Creating symbols

Attention
If you create symbols yourself, you must make sure not to save these symbols in any library that is subject to rights of use. Symbols that are saved in such a library later automatically become subject to rights of use. Subsequent conversion is impossible.

If you wish to conclude or prolong a maintenance contract, you are welcome to do this via our sales department, tel.:+49 8131 3627 98. Unlocking takes place by internet or e-mail.
