Component Box is the further development of the available functions UFD region and Black Box. Select always the relevant method to reach the optimized documentation!
Short overview
After command selection a rectangle is required to define a UFD.
With the function UFD Region it is possible to draw an additional UFD Region in the present page.
In an CPP Project it varies from the UFD of the page. That means, that the symbols in the additional region are in another Unit or Field.
The UFD become to a bindingly part of the References (with the start sign "-") in the region unit and field. So every list is unique.
After command selecting we draw a rectangular, then the connection pins. In the opened dialog we numbering the pins, define the pin names, the reference name, the symbol name and the part number.
The Black Box makes the ongoing work easier. This function allows it to create a symbol faster without changing to the Symbol editor .
Certainly can this new symbol overtaken in a symbol library.
The inside of the black box can designed informatively with drawings and text. Furthermore it has the same behaviour like a symbol (independent reference, symbol typ, component name and in the Professional Version material data).

Inside of the component box could be schematic diagrams, similar to the UFD region. The units inside could have independent references, but we can obtain from it. Differ from the UFD region the internal references are not amended in the UFD, but the main reference can be overtaken amended with the inner reference. The taking over modified the binding part (with the first sign “-“).
It is practically (like UFD) a group forming function. The contained unit group belongs to one reference. The inside schematic makes the functionality unique.
With the same reference we can create more component boxes. One of it is defined as master. Furthermore the component boxes with the same reference have the behaviour like a normal symbol type “main element/side element”. This means that the have alternating cross references (the side boxes to the master and back).
The units inside the component box can be normally locked for the material list pro component box (unit box parameter) or pro component (component parameter).
The various automatically lists analyses the components inside the component box in a conveniently manner.

In using of complex components and to show the inner functionality there are more schematic symbols which have a own function and production equipment.
The external reference adapts to the main function.
Using of a advised unit combination from the manufacturer instead of a own creation. Per example in an existing motor junction motor start PKZMO-4 and contactor DILM7-10(24VDC).
With the application of the component box we can create it to complete unit: motor start MSC-D-4-M7(24VDC).
It contains the specified components and the equipment for junctions and mountings.
