Terminal destination

The terminal destination assignment (internal/external) can be reversed by using the 'Terminal destination' command. To do this, select the command and identify the terminal, using the left mouse button (or <Enter> key), and the dot will be moved to the other terminal pin, indicating the change of assignment.

The "dot", used to indicate the internal destination, is defined by the 'Pin name' and can be changed by using the 'Pins' command on the 'Modify - Component' menu and then selecting 'Pin name' after the pin has been identified. In the configuration you can prevent the output of the dot on a printer or plotter.

If a terminal is to be created, using the Symbol editor, all terminal pins must have pin names and pin numbers that are located in the correct positions. In this way when the terminal destination is reversed, the new location for the destination assignment  symbol will be known (i.e. the location of the other 'Pin name').

Tip

If a 'Pin name' was assigned to both pins of a terminal and then the destination assignment was changed, both pin names would disappear. If only one 'Pin name' exists (e.g. a "dot"), the name is transferred to the other terminal when the destination assignment is changed. If it is invisible please check the position of the other pin name!
