A component is not just a simple collection of graphic entities and text. WSCAD 5 provides several automatic functions. To take advantage of these automatic functions, components consist of the following parts:

In addition certain texts (text allocators) have special functions, e.g. to determine the position of cross references.
When creating a new component you should follow this sequence:
Quantity/Enclosure enter (mostly 1)
Select component type
Draw component graphics
Place pins and pin numbers/names
Enter component name
Enter Reference name

The maximum pin qty. is 255, the maximum component size is 32 kB.
